The Girl and Boy Scouts, Whiteriver, 1935, taken at the Parade Grounds at the Whiteriver Indian Boarding School on the Fort Apache Reservation. The boarding school was not integrated but the Girl Scout troop was a mixture of students at the boarding school and government employees' children. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) for the Fort Apache Tribe was located at Fort Apache Reservation. Fort Apache is the White Mountain Apache Reservation.
